Lincoln Avenue, British motor company Lincoln began in England in 1895. Lincoln produced its first car assembly line in 1905, and the company made at least one of the fastest cars the world has ever seen called the Lincoln Zephyr. In 1928, Chrysler purchased Lincoln and continued the line until 1942. Today, new models are produced by Daimler to remain one of the leading car manufacturers. In 2005, Daimler came out with a high-tech model called the Peterbuilt that was voted Britain's favorite supercar for its unique styling, menacing engine note, and lightweight construction.
